Save on Gasoline – 3 More Great Ways! – Part 2

Yikes.
Sometimes we just have to laugh.
Last month on two consecutive Saturdays, I signed up for Swim Across America, which is a not-for-profit that funds cancer research and patient programs.
Swimmers across the USA swim at least one mile and raise funds cancer research.
A great cause.
On one of the Saturdays, I had a dentist appointment.
After the swim, I hurried to the dentist’s office.
I was so focused on making sure that I got to the dentist’s office by 9 am on time, I didn’t bother to check my calendar.
Oops.
The dentist appointment was after the SECOND week’s swim, NOT the first one.
Boy was Dr. V. confused when I was sitting in the waiting room. She wanted to know if I had an emergency.
I Wasted forty four minutes driving to and from the dentist.
Plus, I wasted a gallon of gasoline @ $4.62.
Oh well!
Grab these two ways to save more money on gasoline:
1. Pay attention to where you’re going!
In other words, check your calendar and plan ahead.
Think of your errands, trips and so on so you can be efficient with your time and travel.
Needless to say, had I checked my calendar – quite a simple task – it would have been Clear that my dentist appointment was on the second Saturday, NOT the first one.
Plain as Day! ☺ ☺ ☺
2. Fill up your tank at a Warehouse Club!
If you’re a member of say COSTCO®, Sam’s Club® or BJ’s Wholesale Club, typically you’ll save 6 to 10₵ a gallon of gasoline.
Easy money, if you’re a member at a warehouse club.
